Another three weeks gone by and me once again on the brink of letting this journal die off, so here I am once more sneaking in an update at the 23rd hour. But this time Kev can't say anything as he's in the same exact position and I will happily be poking at him after I'm done here to get his update done as well.
Things have been a little hectic the past few weeks with all the hurricanes and having to leave home but everyone is safe, we're back home and the kids are all back in school; though I'm sure they wouldn't have minded an extended summer vacation. Back to school also means back to sports. Cody is playing varsity football for his High School and Cass is a varsity cheerleader for the same team, though Cody does not like to see her parading around in the short skits that they wear. Trist is gonna play basketball for his Junior High, the boy definitely has the height for it and takes after Kev with his skill.
For now I'm working regularly for Juggalo Championship Wrestling and that's more then fine with me. It gives me a chance to still do what I love but also spend the time at home with the family that I want. I'm open to bookings and working other places but I'm no spring chick anymore and am going to be very selective with what I take. As been documented numerous times I have no problem canceling or not showing a booking at all if something else comes up for me. I know that's not the most professional way to do business but that's how I am and I'm much to old and set in my ways to change now. And, it's obviously not deterring people to much as I'm still getting calls to come and work.
As I've sat here reading my friends page before I started this entry I was really amused by all the petty nitpicking and fighting I saw going on. Now I don't really know or care what it's all about or how it all started but I do think it's a huge waste of time. Being that today is the anniversary of such a tragic event in not only American History but also the World I think if we've learned anything at all from that, it should be that life is way to short and precious to waste it away on things that are so trivial and in the grand scheme of things don't mean shit.
